They use electronic and acoustic means and a number of staged set ups to create a tension between the instrumentation, signal processing and amplification that is vulnerable to subtle changes in the room. In effect they create a physical, mutli-faceted sonic body.
Both artists work across a number of mediums including sculpture, sound, video and performance, and their music refers to these different disciplines. In one sense this work could be perceived as an exercise in "drawing with sound", as Sivanesan and Smith feel out the qualities of the space and the system.
